Racial Inequality
The disparities are that between different skin colours and races there as been turmoil for many years about who is better then who and other race abuse. Many ‘anti-black’ white groups that think they are the more prominent and important than other races An example is the KKK; they are Christian group that are very religious, and anyone with dark skin is said to be unclean. Groups like this are the ones causing disparities. More awareness and protest can help but what everyone really needs is a change of mindset for a lot of white discriminators that think they are the best. It affects developing countries as a lot of developing countries have dark skin therefore get less help from racist donators that many not believe they are people and are just objects in our world.
Fair Trade is about better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. By having companies to pay sustainable prices, Fair trade fights against the injustices of conventional trade, which discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives. Some examples are sweatshops and tea-farms, where workers work in horrible conditions only to get paid 30 cents to 1 dollar of their hard labors work. The main Fair Trade disparity is the difference in prices workers and farmers are paid in developing countries compared with developed countries. Most managers/bosses of workers are the cause of the issue, as many of these “trusted” people are corrupt as they dearly underpay workers and keep a lot of workers money for themselves. To solve this issue, checks from by other developed countries could be done, to help control this common issue as well as developed countries could refuse and produce and products without knowing working conditions and so forth. It affects developing countries economically as even though they are selling lots of produce and products, they are selling it for so little amount so barely and profit is made, and if profit is made most goes to the bosses or managers pocket. The workers themselves are most affected as their life is under constant struggle to earn a living often also having to support a family. Fair Trade an important issue as it is very unjust and is happening right under our noses without us knowing. It rips people off as they are not getting paid what they deserve all so some manager or boss can get rich. It is defiantly affecting the world more then we know as most products made in Asian and Africa are not made under fair trade laws. Some examples are Nike Clothing, Tea, Cheap Coffee, Linen and more. Fair trade dose affects many people mainly the workers and farmers. It does matter as they have worked hard to produce products but are not being fairly paid for the job. It like you going to work at Macca’s and you get paid 20c per hour or a very low wage like that. It mostly affects poor and developing countries that have no fair trade policies or wage minimum laws. Fair trade does affect you and me as a lot of clothing such as plain t-shirts, underwear and socks are made under these bad conditions. Originally it was good for us as clothing was relatively cheap, but know you know about how unjust Fair trade it I think you have changed your mind. As an individual you cannot buy product that use have unfair trade in play. But this is often hard so when buying a product you think shouldn’t be such of a low price (its presumably not made under fair trade) give some extra money to a charity instead. Many not for profit organisations, such as FairTrade Oceania and Caritas Australia help and support unjust workers’ rights and payments. Too many people are worsening the issue without knowing as often at the shops who doesn’t love a nice bargain. But you are probably supporting Unfair Trade and that worker who made that T-Shirt was dearly underpaid. Public awareness is the key resolution to fair trade as no-one will buy products and product that was produced by workers unjustly paid. Also our leaders can pass law so all product say where they were made. By listing as reading this website you are already doing something, now go help spread the word about Fair Trade.
